Theater Pedagogy
As a theater pedagogue, it is my passion to bring others into a state of imaginative play. I believe theater affords us opportunities to try new things, discover new aspects of ourselves, and to develop positive skills that are applicable in all aspects of life. I love working with all age groups - from children to senior citizens. We all need to play, regardless of our age.
My work as a theater educator has crossed diverse projects and topics, including:
TUSCH
Theater und Schule
TUSCH, Theater und Schule (2020, 2021)
Junge Deutsche Oper, Peter-Ustinov-Schule-Berlin
2021-22: Sound experiments and performance art with water.
2021: digital project “House of Passions,” focusing on the passions of the 9th graders - how they came to their passion, how they live it, and how Corona has impacted their relationship toward it.
2020: theater production “In Fast allen Opern” with 9th graders. We created a play based on the topics of love / violence / addiction with original scenes developed by the students which were modeled around props given to us by the Deutsche Oper.

Street College from Gangway e.V.
At Street College I teach Acting and Szenisches Schreiben (Writing for the Theater). My goal is to encourage the young adults to recognize their passions and make proposals for artistic research in areas that interest them. Our work is broad and influenced by the desires of the students: we could be found practicing acting essentials, analyzing a dramatic text, staging a scene written by a participant, devising our own scenes, or creating performances for urban spaces.
Currently we are working on a project about “Utopia.”
Food Justice:
with Blue 21/Food Justice
Gardenplayers was an international theater exchange on ZOOM with participants from Africa and Europe. We used theater to explore the topics of urban gardening and sustainable food systems. The presentation of the project was shared at the Food System Change Online Congress in March, 2021.
Planetary Health: Together with Dinah Stratenwerth I have facilitated projects in Berlin high schools to the topic of planetary health as well as a themed theater dinner in cooperation with Über den Tellerrand, an initiative in which people from different cultures meet and connect through food.
